ABOUT JAIEL
A multi-talented independent artist from Aurora, CO, Jaiel is making waves in the music industry with her inspiring music and empowering message. As a singer-songwriter, dancer, model, and actress, she captivates audiences with her rich vocals, dynamic performances, and visually stunning music videos. Rooted in the musical traditions of church, school choir, and theatre, Jaiel’s deep passion for performance began at an early age. Influenced by icons like Beyoncé, Tori Kelly, Ariana Grande, India Arie, Aretha Franklin and more, she dynamically blends pop, R&B, and soul into a sound uniquely her own.
Jaiel’s musical journey took flight at Colorado College, where she made waves as a front woman for student bands and a cappella groups. She and her band won three consecutive Battle of the Bands competitions, securing opportunities to perform at local festivals and share stages with artists such as Sales, Saba, Smino, Hippo Campus, and more. A trailblazer in her own right, she became the first Black woman to graduate with a degree in music from Colorado College, marking the milestone with the mixtape Black Girl Songs as her senior thesis.
Since then, she has continued to carve out her place in the industry. Her debut EP, The Magical World of Black Girlhood (April 2022), introduced her signature style, with standout single Sunshine Lovin’ earning critical acclaim and a nomination for The Colorado Playlist’s Pop Song of the Year. The track has nearly 70K streams on Spotify and received airplay on major Colorado radio stations, including THE DROP 104.7, Indie 102.3, and The Colorado Sound 105.5. Her latest single, Bet On Me, was featured on Indie 102.3’s Local 303, with its cinematic music video—executive produced by Jaiel—amassing over 210K views and earning a spot on Vevo Incoming Pop. The song’s message of self-belief and community support resonated deeply, winning The Colorado Playlist’s Fan Listener Poll for Best R&B Song of the Year.
A dedicated advocate for women in music, Jaiel serves on the board of Women in Music Denver and as a GrammyU ambassador for the San Francisco Chapter of The Recording Academy. Her commitment to community extends beyond the stage—she has performed for nonprofits like Girls Inc of Metro Denver and Montbello Alive! and partnered with Green Goddess, a nonprofit that uplifts girls of color in emotional well-being, identity, and purpose.
With new music slated for release in 2026 and her unwavering commitment to empowering women and girls through her artistry, she remains a beacon of light, a force to be reckoned with, and a visionary poised to shape the landscape of contemporary music.
